TGIF Celebration by Nancy Gordon

Join Nancy Gordon and her musical friends for an evening of music from the porch of her home. This concert features Bob Giles and Kaz Sasaki performing on flute, guitar, and bass, followed by an open mic time where you can show off your own talents. This is a fundraiser for AMOW and other Alameda charities. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
Robert Giles: With over 360 YouTube videos on his site, California native Robert Giles has explored a world of music with his flute and guitar, from classical to jazz and the music of many countries. He has covered the Beatles and American popular ballads, and written over 100 original tunes with fingerstyle guitar technique adapted after many years of classical guitar experience. He has opened several times for guitarist Pierre Bensusan and played Vietnamese music opening for Buddhist Monk Thich Nhat Hanh at the Berkeley Community Center.
Kaz Sasaki has played bass for Oakland’s Fantastic Negrito and perennial SF Funk Band Stymie and the PJLOs.
Special thanks to those who bring some finger food to add to the table of goodies and drinks! And although she has lots of lawn chairs, stairs and deck furniture seating, feel free to bring your own comfy chair, a warm jacket (in case it gets chilly) and your favorite sun hat…though she always has some extras.
